New Zealand Ballstuck was an amazing success!
Everyone who came looked so amazing and I was totally overwhelmed when I first arrived!
New Zealand Homestucks are the BEST
oh awesome!!! unfortunately i can’t really attend bc work (i still want to see that movie so badly though)
but is anyone else interested??
Because I still snort like a 5 year old whenever I have to type ballstuck i’m so sorry-
ANYWAY!!! As said over here by lovely Kia IT’S IN A LITTLE MORE THAN A MONTH (18th Jan)! I’m super excited to go down to wellington and meet up with homestucks and take lots of photos of everyone! I’ll be taking the bus down from Auckland on 17th (haha 11 hour ride here we go again).
There’s no real point to making this post except to CONVEY JUST HOW EXCITED I AM ABOUT THIS and I can’t wait to get to meet people who can make it there :)
Now to try and get off my ass and get my costume finished…!!

i’m not the one organizing this but on the facebook page it says
“There is no specifics on the dress code. But it is a ball and that means formal wear. You don’t have to wear a canon outfit, for instance, I’m doing a fancy version of Davesprite.” by Mikaela, who’s one of the organizers for this!
if you need to get any more ideas on what to wear, try tag searching ‘promstuck’ on tumblr?

Its come to our attention that there are probably enough stucks in our lil country to have a ball! So with the advice of a few people who’ve agreed that they would like to come I’ve gone ahead and organized one, and now I’m making an event so others outside of Wellington [and the Wellystuck group here on fb] can have a look and see if they’d like to come too.
It’ll be in Wellington, the middle of our country! In a really lovely church hall on the Terrace [We’ve had a lot of cosplay parties there already].It’s a ten to fifteen minute walk from the train station, and if you’re living outside of Wellington just drop someone a message asking about accommodation? Otherwise I can also try to help you find somewhere to stay.
The doors open at 4:30 [but you don’t have to come this early! Unless you’d really like to] and the ball should finish at 9:30. If you don’t know where it is someone will be sent down to stand and wave their arms around cray cray like to show people where to go.
Tickets will be $15 each, helping pay off the rent on the Hall and food; BUT you can also bring food of your own if you’d like [say, for allergy or dietary needs or you just really want to show off some great brownies you made the night before!]. Tickets don’t have to be bought straight away right now, I’d say save it until maybe a two weeks before the Ball? But if you really want to that’s fine! There will be a limited number of doorsales [no extra charge] but if you can do it earlier that would be fantastic.
Hopefully if this all goes really well we’ll have more events like this! Maybe even over the Wellygeddon period? We’ll see!
Thanks again guys, it really means a lot!

So Armageddon is over :( It was good times, and look at all of these awesome Homestucks (and obligatory Loki) I got photos of!
(I forgot to ask for peoples’ tumblr names orz So anyone who I didn’t already meet at Hamilgeddon, please say hi so I can love you!)
Failed in my mission to actually make friends though. One day I will get over my stupid shyness.
Also I’ve learnt for next time not to just go along with my room-mates’ plans to do other stuff in the morning, because showing up at 2pm means missing out on a lot of shenanigans :( Better to go in the morning by myself, I think. Also that way I’ll be forced to latch on to the other Homestucks rather than taking photos then awkwardly drifting away.
So yes. Eagerly awaiting next ‘geddon!
